Hair Fantasies

Recently I have been having different ideas about my hair colour. My hair has gone through many stages of colour, from blonde when I was younger, then it developed into a mousy brown when I became a teenager and that's the way it remained until I got bored and decided to experiment around with dye. Well, what a roller-coaster that was!

The first couple of times I dyed it a slightly darker shade of brown, which was nice to try, but then I really should have just stopped after that.. My next attempt to go a lovely auburn colour went beyond the boundaries of just plain wrong when i went to wash my hair and my hair has gone bright red. Yep, bright-in your face red. So that soon has to be corrected by putting a brown packet over it because it was not staying red, which resulted in my hair going jet black. Again very unflattering because it made me look as white as a ghost. So the lesson I have picked up from this is that I am not meant to dye my hair darker..

So if you're wondering what I did to get rid of the black, I went and got blonde highlights put on, and hey-presto, it became a much more controllable shade of brown! Safe to say I was scarred for life from that experience, so dyeing my hair lighter is now the only option. This leads me to my current hair fantasies, which is to turn my hair into more of a dirty blonde instead of the brown it is now.
