On the to do list.

So I thought I would share another song I'm loving at the moment, a very popular man and he deserves it his stuff is chilled and really, for some reason, gets me into the summer vibe, especially this song! Hope you enjoy, just a little something to get us through the winter chill. This summer I'm going to make sure I make the most of every sunny day and just not over think things and just enjoy it and take it one day at a time... What's your list of things to do this summer?

And que the flowers...

So, spring is coming, I can feel it! At the moment for those of you living in England, will know that is has been stupidly cold (I swear colder than it was in the actual winter *insert extremely confused face*) so getting out any spring clothes has been tricky. I have been giving it my best shot to get out some of my spring clothes and inter-grate them into my winter driven outfits and so far it has been working, with plenty of layers to keep off the chill. But when I go onto websites like Topshop, Ted Baker, Jack Wills, I realise how truelly and utterly excited I am for spring and all the gorgeous pastels and ditsy floral prints.. they're so nice! So I've just collected together a few pieces which have caught my eye, most are from Topshop as I am a big fan, but I thought I would share some a couple you lovely people...

1 . Necklace Lace Crop Top - Topshop
2. Knitted Textured Crop Jumper - Topshop
3. Blush in Flush - Topshop
4. Oversize Dip Dye Tee - Topshop
5. Apricot Supersoft Skinny Jeans - New Look

There are a lot more bits and pieces I've seen from other websites and shops but haven't really got the space to show them all to you! Spring really excites me because you finally get to attempt to remove the huge coat that hides everything you wear from the winter cold and show off some colours different styles. And if us in England are very lucky we may even get to get out of jeans and leggings and into skirts and playsuits ( doubtful but fingers crossed!)

Anyway I would love to know what you are all looking forward to about the spring trends or maybe just spring in general?

Photo of the day - Favourite song at the moment

Lately there hasn't been a lot in the charts that has hugely been grabbing my attention apart from a couple of songs, and leaving me saying wooow i'm going to replay that song until I can repeat the lyrics in my sleep (I'm sure it's possible...maybe...) But there has been one song that's stood out in particular that I stumbled across when mooching through Youtube and am so glad I did (yes, I have learnt the lyrics) which is a song called 'Stay out' by Nina Nesbitt that came out only a couple of weeks ago. It's such a fun and catchy song and so relateable which I think is half the appeal, because you sit there listening to it thinking oh god I can so picture people in my area like that or oh that's such a typical thing that happens to me.. So anyway give it a listen and hope you like it!

Multiple Review

Recently I popped into Boots to have a little look around for some new things to try as my skin routine has been lacking and the things I use don't really seem to be doing anything extra for my skin, and as I have rather oily, and uneven skin with blackheads that refuse to budge, trying new things out is the way forward. So in I went and found that they had a 3 for 2 offer on (woo hoo!) and so I thought I would have a look around for some new things to try. There is one item I haven't featured in here because I haven't used it yet and so would not fit in with the review, which is Boots 'Simply Sensitive Deep Cleansing Face Mask', and I am looking forward to trying this very soon paired with a cup of tea and a magazine ( I will keep you posted on the mask!) So anyway these are the bits I picked up, one is not very relevant to benefiting my face but i thought I would share anyway...

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Lip Balm, in Dark Chocolate & Mint
*Long lasting moisture, fresh breath and soothing*
There are two things that attracted me to this, one being the combination of chocolate and mint, it smells amazing! And secondly, it has SPF 15, which people may not realise is great not just for the summer but also the winter for protecting your lips. I suffer from cold sores badly, and anyone out there who also does will know how horrible they are. Having sun protection in your lip-salve helps to prevent cold sores as dramatic temperature changes tend to set cold sores off, so protection throughout the day will lessen your chances of getting one. Finally it's super moisturizing and stays that way for a good amount of time. Deffinately think I will be buying this again.
Price - £1.99
 Freederm Overnight Clearing Serum
*Helps to reduce spot size and restore healthy skin texture while visibly reducing redness*
I have been using this only for a little while now but I can tell that so far so good, it hasn't reacted badly with my skin and it has been leaving my face and neck (it tells you to put it on both) feeling so soft and moisturised even when I wake up in the morning and have had my face rubbing against my pillows all night. I'm also looking forward to continuing using this product as I have a very uneven skin tone, my cheeks and nose tend to stay very red and blotchy which creeps its way out from behind my makeup throughout the day, so fingers crossed this product could help to reduce some of that redness. Smells nice and was a decent price at £6.49 so a good buy to try.
St Tropez Everyday Body Moisturiser - Light/Medium
*This nourishing body moisturiser combines skin care benefits with a touch of sunless bronze. Infused with soothing aloe vera, this lotion will help give smoother skin while building a gradual golden tan*
I am a bit of a tan fan, and no before anyway says, I do no use sun beds or anything like that as I think the risk is unnecessary when you could use fake tan instead. Anywho this product was a bit of a last minute thing, but as it fitted in with the 3 for 2 offer I thought I would give it a go. I use the St Tropez Self Tan Bronzing mouse when I am going out and want to make it a bit stronger, and have found that the colour it leaves is so nice and natural, so this has been nice to use and again has been giving a lovely colour. The only thing I would say for those who do not like that typical fake tan smell, that even though this is a moisturiser with a tint of tan, the fake tan smell is still there a bit so if that puts you off then maybe consider another. Apart from that I really like it and would recommend it! Pretty pricey at £14.39 though.

Well I hope you enjoyed my reviews of some of the new things I picked up and may help you in looking for some new products yourself. Have a good day everyone!

Photo of the day.

Lately i can honestly say nothing has been going right for me! You know when all of these big things happen and they keep going wrong, and you just have a humongous meltdown and doubt yourself... that is the definition of me right now. University is a massive stress and i've only gone and failed my driving test for the second time... all these things all happened in the space of 3 days. Thanks a bunch.
But it's times like these when you really realise how important family is, and i also found my boyfriend has been an absolute saint (as he always is). Called him up yesterday  having a crappy day so later on over he comes with films and a big chocolate fudge cake. How sweet is he. And the one thing he said and also my parents said is, yeah i'm having some bad luck, like REALLY bad luck, but things will work out and i will figure out what i'm going to do and how i am going to go about dealing with these situations, because i know i can do it. And so that has lightened my mood and got me feeling even more determined to sort those things out, and hopefully anyone who's feeling a bit stressed at the moment, just have a cuddle or a cry and just let that stress out, and then bring your head up high again and think I CAN DO THIS.

18th Birthday bits and bobs..

So last week I FINALLY turned 18! woooo! Even though i'm one of those who are sort of smack-bang in the middle of the year with a february birthday, it feels like it has taken forever to get here, but hay ho i'm now 18. I have to say this year was such a great birthday and my parents made it so special. Especially as my mum made the most amazing birthday cake for me, so because i am a huge cupcake fanatic, she made a giant cupcake cake with glitter and flowers! How amazing is that...

So i thought I would just share some photos from the day..

Gorgeous necklace from my parents that was designed for me, i felt so lucky!

It was snowing on my birthday... in the middle of February!?

Also on the Monday before my birthday me, my mum, my sister and her friend, we all tottled off to the Birmingham Bullring for the day to have a good look around and shop, because in my local area there aren't a huge amount of shops so we thought we would venture there instead. This is in no way me bragging about what i got this is literally a 'this is what i got, hope you like the pieces, and this is where they are from in case you were looking for something similar' situation. Well that was long..

Black Shopper Basket Bag - Zara

Mighty Black Leather Zip Boots - Topshop

(Sorry can't remember the name of this necklace, but it's from Topshop if that helps)

Disco Treggings - Topshop

High Roller Neppy Tank in 'Cobalt' - Topshop

It's such a weird feeling being 18, even though you don't feel any different, the idea of being 18 and the freedom you get with that age excites me! But at the same time i guess it scares me, maybe you feel the same, that now that your old enough to do all of these things your an adult now and with that comes more responsibility i guess.. Hmm, what do you all think to that? Whether your 18 or not, does/did that age daunt you or have you grabbed it with open arms and are loving what it brings with it?

Hi ho, hi ho, off to London we go...

So last weekend me and my boyfriend went up to London for the weekend as he bought us tickets to see the Lion King at the theatre in London for my christmas present, how sweet! I absolutely love the theatre (but Wicked will always be my favourite, go and see it people!) so the whole idea of a weekend up there with him was amazing and it was a really lovely weekend. So as the show was late we decided to stay over as it seemed a better idea, and as you can imagine two days in London led to lots of noseying around down Oxford Street and also in the new Strattford Westfield as we weren't in any rush back onto the tube. Oops. So i got a few bits and bobs while I was there because as you know when you go to London the urge to buy just overwhelms you! So this is what i returned home with (minus some river island shorts and a jack wills jumper)...

Millie Mackintosh eyelashes in 'Belgravia' and 'Portabello' (sorry its side ways I have no idea why its like that)

Infrared - Topshop

Polaroids on my pin board or the theatre and our hotel

Tea Tree Water Toner - LUSH

Neptune and War Paint - Topshop, Mint Candy Apple - Essie
